Time limit and fee for getting a birth certificate
- Apply within 7 days: Free
- After 1 month: Late fee will be applicable
- Delay beyond 1 year: Approval by SDM or Court is required.
Important Note:
- Registration is required within 21 days of the child's birth.
- If you apply after 21 days, you may have to pay a penalty.
- The same process has to be followed for getting a duplicate certificate.
