Vikram Sarabhai Protsahan Yojana (Vikas) Scholarship 2024: Vikas Scholarship is established in the memory of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, founder of Prof. Vikram Sarabhai. The aim of this scholarship is to encourage and provide assistance to economically weaker students from rural areas of Gujarat to pursue higher education in science. The applicant must be a student studying in class 8 in a government recognized school in rural areas of Gujarat. The applicant should fill the online form on the PRL Vikas Scholarship website and register by 03 January 2025.

Standard of Aid:

• Under the Vikram Sarabhai Scholarship Scheme, a total assistance of Rs 1 lakh is provided to the selected students for a period of four years. Which is as follows.

1. Standard 09 : 20000/-
2. Standard 10 : 20000/-
3. Standard 11 (Science Stream) : 30000/-
4. Standard 12 (Science Stream) : 30000/-

Income Limit :

1. Students studying in class VIII from families whose annual income is less than Rs 1.5 lakh can apply online under this scheme.
2. Under this scheme, a total of 10 students are given scholarships every year, out of which 50% are girl students.
3. The selected students are given a total scholarship assistance of Rs 1 lakh over a period of four years.

Selection Process :

• Under this scheme, students will be selected on the basis of percentage of class 7, annual family income and marks obtained in the examination and the selected students will be eligible for assistance for class 9.

How to Apply Online:

1. Candidates willing to apply under this scheme must first register on the official website of Physical Research Laboratory Ahmedabad https://www.prl.res.in/Vikas/.
2. Now, click on the Student Registration menu.
3. In which you have to select Yes in the field if your school is in rural area and fill in the requested details.
4. In which you have to create a username and password by filling all the details like students' name, address, school name etc.
5. Finally, students have to upload a recent passport size photo and submit the form.
6. After the registration process is completed, login by entering the username, password and captcha code in the login menu.
7. In which you have to upload the documents mentioned above and submit the online application.
