Maharashtra Election Result 2024: Maharashtra election results declared today. this Counting of votes begins at 8:00 am today and total 288 seats in Maharashtra Assembly. MVA and Mahayuti are the two main parties, many parties in it can win two seats together.

Counting of votes for the this Maharashtra Assembly elections will be begin at 8 am today. All eyes are on the this result of the contest between the this ruling Mahayuti and the MVA and which is trying to return to power. Election officials said the final voter turnout in the November 20 polls was 66.05 per cent, while in 2019 this figure was 61.1 per cent. A total of 288 counting centers have been set up for counting of votes, including one center for the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election.

The counting of votes for the Maharashtra Assembly elections is set to begin at 8 am, with the contest being between the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance and the this Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance and which aims to regain power.
Who contested how many seats?
In the Mahayuti alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party fielded candidates in 149 assembly seats and Shiv Sena in 81 seats and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party NCP in this 59 constituencies. In the opposition MVA alliance, the Congress fielded 101 candidates, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) 95 and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) 86.
These elections will also be a test for the Shiv Sena and the NCP, as these parties have split after the rebellion. If the Maha Vikas Aghadi wins, it will have to overcome hurdles within the alliance for the chief minister's post.

In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP-Shiv Sena (undivided) won a majority. The alliance did not last long and the Shiv Sena pulled out of the alliance, leading to political turmoil in the state. In the last five years, the state has had three different chief ministers: Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP, Uddhav Thackeray of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena (SHS).
